If you are struggling to pay off a medical bill, you are not alone.
In September 2020, a Gallup poll said 26% of Americans reported that they have put off medical procedures in the prior 12 months due to medical costs, Experian says.
If you fall under one of these categories, there is assistance that you can apply for that could help you and your family deal with this health and financial crises.
This will take some investigating and also gathering of financial information. However, in the long run, it may be very beneficial to you to have expenses covered.
Part of the Affordable care Act (ACA), nonprofit hospitals need to have a charity care program to maintain their nonprofit status with the Internal Revenue Service.

This program can pay for treatments both inpatient, as well as emergency room visits. You may even qualify for this program even if you have health insurance, but your coverage still does not pay for all the services that you require.
